We will start by reviewing the box of the phone.
1. Box Situation
Vivo Y02s box is of gray and white combination as it is one of their mid range device. The back side of the box contains some important information like 5000 mAh battery, USB Type-C connectivity, 6.51 inches HD+ display and Face Access option.
The box contains some paper work like a quick start guide along with a charger adapter of 10W and USB Type-C cable and the mobile itself wrapped in a plastic sheet.
2. Design
Vivo never compromises on design, the rest specifications aside, design and colors of this device are something which will prove to be a selling point for it. It is currently available in two colors which are Vibrant Blue and Fluorite Black with a plastic back. The design definitely gives a premium look. It also has a 2.5D slim body. The company also claims that the back of this phone is scratchless and can absorb fingerprint smudges.
3. Camera
If you are looking to buy this phone for taking good photos and recording good videos, then this phone might not be right for you as it comes a single camera of 8 MP at back with f/2.0 aperture while the camera at front is of 5 MP with f/2.2 aperture. You can record video at 1080p at 30 FPS. The back flash is present under the main camera giving it a unique look. According to the tests performed, the back camera often struggles with the focus during video.

4. Battery
The battery of Y02s has a big capacity of 5000 mAh which can power your daily tasks all day long without having you to charge it again and again. The chipset of this phone is MediaTek Helio P35 which is also famous for consuming less power, which in return extends the battery life. The charger which comes with it is of 10W, which isn’t considered to be a fast charge.

Vivo Y02s main display is an IPS LCD panel of 6.51 inches. It has a total 82.1% screen-to-body ratio. The resolution of this phone is HD+ 720×1600 pixels with 270 ppi density, which can render a good quality image and video. The colors of this aren’t that much vibrant as we see in AMOLED panels.
6. Processor/Chipset
The chipset of this phone is an old MediaTek Helio P35, which is often criticized for being an underpower and outdated processor. But on the positive side, if your usage isn’t that much and you can bear some lags then it can provide you a good battery life. P35 isn’t meant for gaming, it performs very normally and often lags during the gamplay, we will also discuss this in detail in our gaming setion.
The GPU used in this phone is PowerVR GE8320.
7. Internal Memory/RAM
The internal memory of Vivo Y02s is 32GB which is an eMMC 5.1 based. The memory expansion option is also available through a dedicated microSDXC slot. The RAM of this phone is 3GB which is capable of performing medium to low intensity tasks.
8. Sensors
One of the main drawbacks of this phone is not having a fingerprint sensor, which is not negligible in this price range. However it offers Face ID option for better security. Along with it, it has accelerometer, proximity and compass sensors. You also won’t get NFC in it.

9. Gaming Performance
This phone disappoints you while playing games on it. Due to the low end processor and 3GB RAM, it lags many times and you also won’t sensor like gyro used in the famous game like PUBG. The phone however offers an Ultra Gaming Mode, which can enhance the phone’s performance during the gaming.
