The company has announced that the postponed Huawei Mate 50 series will get Snapdragon 898 chipset. The chipset Snapdragon 898 will be launched in the end of 2021. The Huawei Mate 50 will have Snapdragon 898 chipset. This chipset will support 4G network bands. The chipset will support 5G network bands after the 2nd Quarter of 2022.
The company has planned to shift their chipsets from kirin to Snapdragon. Because the smartphones are more powerful and give better performance with Snapdragon chipsets. Huawei was planning to announced their P50 series mobile phones with Snapdragon 888 chipsets but this did not happened.
This Mate 50 series will get the next generation of Snapdragon chipset which is Snapdragon 898 by the end of 2021.
